Securing :I think Shakespeare authorial intent of lady macbeth is to make her look like the man of the house by making Macbeth look like a coward and lady Macbeth controlling Macbeth by making him think that shell divorce him if he’s a coward and doesn’t kill duncan.
In a way Shakespeare is trying to rebel against the times where lady’s weren’t considered as strong and as brave as men but in his play their is a role reversal where Macbeth is acting like a cowardly wimp and lady Macbeth is acting as the strong brave one where normally its completely the oppisite. This also seen as macbeth acctualltly doesn’t kill his victim and instead hires assassins to kill his targets which is quite a cowardly action which also shows this role reversal in a smart way.

Hello Lethaniel,
I happen to agree with your interpretation. I like that you are exploring authorial intent and you have justified some of your arguments.
Targets:
1) Undertake some research – Did divorce exist at the time Macbeth was set?
2) What about those full stops?
3) See me about tautologies.
Thanks,
Mr North
