To My dearest wife

I am writing to you from far away, away from the stars and the rain in fact so far away the name ia foreign to me with knowledge to live and to be.

So yer probably wondering how it went well in a word great but in two words mind-blowing but how and why well here how. Today we won are battle and crowned me thane of Cowdor, great isn’t it. But things turned from brilliant to wired quicker than you can say darling as I saw them and they prophecies from thane to king and treachery to death these aren’t normal im telling you.

I feel strange a little weird to be exact but happy and glad and at a few times dumb founded with my last thought being murder one you may know on a royal side of life as that what we want being power and all

1. Macbeth refers to the witches as them or they. I think this because if somebody intercepts the ketter he doesnt want them to know that he is seeing the witches as this will spoil his reputation as he looks like he is uaing socery.

2. Macbeth refers to lady macbeth as my derest partner. I think this because he is talking to her directly therefore he is saying dearest darling insted of wife.

Shakespeare wants us to think the witches are: Rude, Powerful, Dirty, Abnoxius etc. I think this because their are Mny negative points like killing a boat full of peoppe for an unjustified scenario and also they arent very nice when it comes to manners like they vanish without any question and they never explain themselfs in the play sofar

Dear Lady Macbeth

Its Your Husband writing from quite a far distance from you. It’s been a long day with the war and all expesially in the after event which I’ll get to that later but good news I shall express like the fact we won the war but that wasn’t the only event today as I shall tell. Today I killed a man in quite a detest full way, a slash through the body to be exact for a man called macdownald and his army of men but not in that way.

The events after were disturbing but not in that way, we saw three witches today with lots info I’m sure you’ll like and some that you’ll cry over like deaths and wins and even a throne from Kings to Queen and phophecies be for richer or poorer and rich in our case. They vanish away which wasn’t a treat and told us our future which wasnt so sweet.

We then saw Ross and Angus with a vouch to tell and a Phrocey came true or great oh great which then lead to to us meeting King Duncan in his castle. This then turned to thought a thought a thought of a murder a murder a murder of a son of a King from me to him.

My feeling are all over the place with fear and dispear and joy to because of these prophecy I’m scared I’m scared oh well oh we’ll I talk later oh yeah oh year.

Plot

Pi Pattel is a religious indian who one day becomes shipwreacked with a tiger and spends time trying to survive but at the same time staying away from death.

Review

Director Ang lee who is responsibe for such classic as brokeback mountain and Hulk has made yet another brilliant film in the form of Yann Martel Life of pi. Life of pi is truly a brilliant film from its sound to picture quality and to it diverse story and charaters.

Life of Pi is a brilliant movie in most aspect but does fall short when it comes to it Computer Generated Imagery which isn’t conviencing in scene like when Pi is on the boat with The tiger (Richard Paker) Although this could just be simple nitpicking in another wise brilliant film.

Life Of Pi biggest element is its symbolism and it theme if religion which is present in almost every aspect from the charaters to the scene in the movie to the dialouge and Music, Life of pi is full of religious references which is a good or bad thing depending on your personal views.

Life of Pi charaters are made up of a brilliant cast of actot which are a credut to this movie smashing success

Verdict

Life of Pi is a brilliant movie with one or two minor problems but buy in large is a brillaint film and a must watch for all film fans

– Women – it sound like its coming from the three witches in the play who are wicked ao therfore maybe it is the witches because it is quite a sinister quote. These people are supernatural but very powerful and as they are witches they are very evil. I think they are talking to the main charater macbeth as he is the main charater meaning he is the most important. The witches are quite old.

Expectations

– The play will be excellent

– The play will be long

– Their will be a dark theme present

My expectation after this work has not changed since the activity as Ive read the book before so I know what to expect in this play anyway. I also expect that the play will have the expected charaters like Macbeth and lady macbeth as this is a play about macbeth. I also expect it to be in the region of the United Kingdom as most of shakespeare works take place in britain.

How does the director present faith in the given extract in ‘Life of Pi’ ?

My argument is that people should believe in the faith they want to and that the best way to keep faith alive is to enjoy it the most and actually want to follow it.

Analysis: From the movie i can see that Pi likes experimenting with multiple faiths but his father doesn’t seem to agree with him With quotes like ‘ if you believe i multiple faiths at once it is just like not believing in anything at all. His father in a way is an atheist as everything Pi believe in he has an answer for. In my opinion it is shown later when the tiger kills the goat as in a way pi’s father is trying to kill his faith just like thee tiger is killing the goat. The way in which this is shown is because pi is watching the goat being killed and this is kind of mirroring his father who got the goat which is going to be killed and this is showing us that pi is being affected and his father is killing his faith.

In this extract faith is symbolized with dialogue between Pi and his Father as Pi is changing his religion alot and his last words being that he wants to be baptized.

Symbolism – Tiger which shows us that he has a dark side as the tiger kills the goat – faith is symbolized in this movie as a open house which people can have many different religion as they want. His father symbolized someone who thinks that everyone should have only one religion and people that believe all religions doesn’t believe in anything.
