I believe that “This Flesh is Mine” relates to Greek tragedy mainly due to its ending and the amount of people who die in the end, Mainly the guard while trying to rape Briseis and Achilles when he is driving away in his car and the car bomb inside kills him. The piece is also Tragic in the sense that at the end of the play, Briseis is left alone drowned in the blood of the guard she has just killed and the knowledge that several moments beforehand she lost Achilles who he loved and she knows that if anyone finds out that she has just literally killed the Kings guard then she could also be sent to jail or sentenced to execution which is a fitting end to a very good and well detail Greek Tragedy.
It also questions the whole message of the play as everything has come down to Achilles being killed which means all the previous problems and conflict has been for absolutely nothing because the guard ends up killing him anyway.
