Drama – Use of spacing in our Performance

In our performance we used spacing to our advantage by having the guard stand nearer to Agamemnon than somebody who is scared would stand next to somebody who they are afraid off. We used this to symbolise that the guard has some in kind of stronghold to Agamemnon and isn’t completely afraid off him, this also represents he fact that he is under so much control that one move from the guard and Agamemnon will flip out at him and start shouting at him which the guard really doesn’t want to experience as he is very afraid of him. I also use the blocks to sit on to put a bit off variety in my performance and show that Agamemnon has partaken in some sort of role reversal as he is under the guard and should be above the guard in status which sitting under the guard does not show and instead make the audience believe the guard is in control when he really isn’t.
