The flesh is mine by Brain Woodland is a play based on the events of troy. The play centres around the greatest warrior called Achilles and the fact he doesn’t want to fight due to his anger on the king (Agamemnon) as he stole his slave girl (Briseis). The whole play centres around this plot point and how all the characters cope with the conflict between Achilles and King Agamemnon. The play is a Greek tragedy in every sense of the word including and most notably Hectors defeat and eventual death by Paris. The play takes place in the backdrop of Troy in Turkey.
The war taking place is the trojan war and it started due to Paris stealing Helen of Troy and in the proccess annoyed the spartans which started off the war, it was believed that the war started during 12/13th century B.C.
Every charater feels like they have a purpose and connect to the story in some way, shape or form. from the main charater of Achillies to even Priam. Its also ironic that aganemnon steals achilles girl and then tries to get him to fight in the war. This is a blatant show of karma as he is getting as bad as he gave when Agamemnon stole Bresies.
